1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, add items to your library, or contact us for support.

Account Information

  • Email address
  • Username (optional)
  • Profile picture (if using Google sign-in)

Library Data

  • Games, movies, and TV shows you add
  • Your ratings and notes
  • Progress and completion status

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send technical notices and support messages
  • Respond to your comments and questions

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal information. Your library is private by default and only visible to you, unless you choose to make your profile public or share a list.

Where Your Data Lives

PlayQueue runs on our own server, hosted by Hetzner in Falkenstein, Germany. Your account, your library and the database behind them are stored there. Sign-in also runs on that server, so we don’t use an outside login provider. Our analytics tool, Umami, is self-hosted on the same server and doesn’t use cookies.

Service Providers

To run PlayQueue we rely on a few service providers. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job:

  • Hetzner (Germany) - Hosts our server and database
  • Resend - Sends account emails, like password resets and email verification. It receives your email address.
  • OpenAI - Powers the AI features, like recommendations, Tonight picks, taste insights and importing a pasted list. It receives the titles, ratings and statuses from your library, plus anything you type into those features, but not your name or email. OpenAI doesn’t use data sent through its API to train its models.
  • Lemon Squeezy - Our payment provider and merchant of record for PlayQueue Pro. It handles your payment details; we never see your card. We receive your email address and subscription status.
  • Google - Only if you choose to sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address and profile picture.
  • Sentry - Error monitoring. When something breaks, it receives technical details about the error, the page and your browser.
  • Your browser’s push service (for example Google, Mozilla or Apple) - Only if you turn on notifications. It delivers them to your device.
  • TMDB, IGDB and CheapShark - Provide movie, TV and game details and game prices. Our server looks titles up for you without sending any account information. Posters and cover art load directly from TMDB and IGDB, so their servers see your IP address.

OpenAI, Lemon Squeezy, Resend and Sentry are based in the United States, so the data they handle may be processed there.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data
